Looking to buy a motor scooter-Vespa type without the expense. What brands should I look at?
Something that looks cute but has power to do hills.
Piaggio, the maker of Vespa, also sells their own branded scooters. They’re the exact same setup, minus the Vespa name, so they tend to be somewhat cheaper. Aprilia also makes some nice stuff, a little pricey, but their fuel injection system will save you tons on gas. Yamaha and Honda make Vespa-looking scooters as well now. If you want to save on the expense, buy used. A new scooter depreciates 20% as soon as you ride it off the lot.
