Mini Refrigerator moved on it’s side, now it runs, but doesn’t cool?
Hi,
I have one of those mini refrigerators with a tiny freezer. I moved it in my car and it stayed on it’s side for about 7 hours. When it got to its destination, we let it sit upright until the next day (~12 hours). Now it constantly runs, but it doesn’t seem to get cool. We have had it for about 2 years and have moved it 3-4 times before without a problem. What do you think may be the problem and can it be fixed (do it yourself)?
Just the way it was laying wouldn’t cause this to happen. It sounds to me like a refrigerant line or the coil got punctured and the refrigerant leaked out, and that would mean its time to toss it and get a new one and be more careful with it if you move it around.
