go kart problem possibly governor?
i have maybe a 4 or 5 year old “phantom fox” (or something like that) go kart when i start it it takes off this happened before and my buddies dad fixed it he said it was the governor i think it happened again if it is what do i do to fix it if it isnt what could it be and how would i fix it
my buddy moved so his dad cant help me so yeas thats out

its automatic so idk if the clutch can go bad but its when i start the motor the go cart like drives off and is its the gas cable how do i fix that thanks
Do you have a digital camera? if so take pictures of the carburetor/governor/everything with any covers off and e-mail them to me (just click on my avatar and give me a message, I will respond with my email address) Without seeing it, I have no useful info to give to you.
Go carts usually use a variable type pulley system (no transmission) similar to a snowmobile.
