when i turn my goped on, the wheel automatically starts turning . how can i make it so it wont do that?

yours may be chain driven, mine was not. it had a lever on the back that lifted the motor off the tire for starting. if it is chain driven u maybe outta luck, use a kickstand wen starting

Sounds like you may have a direct drive model (not all Go-Ped models are the same). Direct drive models are supposed to work just like that. You need to keep the rear wheel adjusted against the drive spindle but then when the wheel turns so will the wheel and when you stop the motor will quite. Just push top get moving again then the motor starts back up practically all by itself.
If you have a chain drive model then you have a problem with the clutch because the clutch will the wheel to stop with the motor still running at an idle.
I strongly recommend that you read an operator’s manual.
