125cc engine question 10 points!!!?
hi i have a 125cc lawn mower engine in my garage. it has a reed valve intake system is there any way i can convert this engine into a good race engine? would a carburator from a rotax 30hp 125cc go kart engine give me good performance? help
No lawnmower engine converts to a race engine, unless you’re racing lawnmowers. They are not designed for the high engine speeds necessary for a race engine. The combustion chamber shape is all wrong, as is the valve layout. Your lawnmower engine is probably about 3 hp. The Rotax is, as you say, 30. The difference is not solely in the carburettor.
