What are the laws for where you can ride a go kart in Australia?
i wanna know where i can ride my go kart im going to make these holidays my backyard is small and doesnt have enough room or my mum wont put up with her yard gettin teared up soooooo..
AND there is an area near my house which has a lot of dirt jumps and tracks for bikes its pretty much abandoned so would it be all right to drive it there?
if it helps my go kart has an arrow frame and a 6.5hp 4 stroke engine (i no its a waste of a gd frame to have a slow shit engine, but cant afford a new one?)
I grew up riding dirt bikes in NSW but the laws are pretty standard across the country, if its not registered its illegal on anything except private property. I don’t where you are but most tracks like you describe are on Crown Land (Government owned) or in National Parks or State Forests. A road registered vehicle is allowed on Crown Land and in State Forests, nothing is allowed off-road in a National Park. Your vehicle is not allowed anywhere except your backyard.
Its been a long time since ive been done but it used to be……
$750 unregistered
$750 uninsured
$750 unlicensed
Very expensive exercise !
Get done enough times and they’ll call you a recidivist offender and ban you from ever having a licence.
Sorry, not the answer you wanted !
